4vermicelli quilt set  May 02, 2012

I ordered this set due to the colors and design-it arrived very true to the item description!
one slight disappointment is that the design is not actually patchwork quilting, it's a printed design. Maybe that's what they mean by saying it's "vermicelli"-not sure-but it is still very pretty. The colors are very close to the item description, but again, the reverse side has much more vibrant coloring-the blue is very blue-which i love, but the patchwork design that is printed has an ivory background, making the blue seem muted.
the cotton is probably not the best grade-but it's soft enough-i'm sure with washing (using fabric softener) that will help. The shams are very large-i may need 2 standard pillows for one sham! I ordered a full/queen but it's still quite large!
the border is not black, it's dark navy blue-the entire quilt is all blue and white, but again, that ivory background on the printed pattern makes it just a bit muted.
there are scalloped edges on the shams and quilt, but it's not a dramatic curve, so it's hard to see in the photo.
